'Diggers sign receiver
Tyler Stenberg

Montana Tech kicked off their recruiting class Wednesday by signing Tyler Stenberg, an All-State player from Superior.
Stenberg is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound receiver who hauled in a school-record 79 catches for 1,308 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2008. Fourteen of those catches came in the state championship game, as Superior overcame a 21-6 deficit to win its first state title.
The Orediggers have had plenty of opportunity to evaluate Stenberg, as he attended three years of the Montana Tech's High School Football Camp.
Tech coach Bob Green says he is excited about the athleticism Stenberg will bring to the Diggers.
"We can't wait to get Tyler Stenberg on the field for the Orediggers," Green said. "He has outstanding speed and physical ability, plus the knack for timing a pass and catching the ball in great position.
"Tyler is an exceptional athlete who also excels in basketball and track for the Bobcats. He makes big plays in critical situations."
