Townsend turns tables on Huntley Project, 3-1

Last year's state runner-up, Townsend, turned the tables on defending champion Huntley Project, at least in the winners' bracket semifinal. The scores in the Bulldogs' victory were 8-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-22 as Townsend roared back from a first-game clobbering.

Gaelyn Domino placed

38 assists, and Siobhan Flynn and Becky Moudree thumped 16 kills apiece in the win. Flynn also scooped 19 digs.

Huntley Project leaders

included Monica Hollowell with 19 kills and Teale Steffes with 46 assists.

Townsend gained a spot in the championship match and at least the third-place trophy with the win. Huntley Project will face the

consolation bracket winner on Saturday for the right to play Townsend for the throne.

Colsrip was led by Kayla Newmiller with 24 kills and three blocks.
