Billings Senior, West advance in AA
BOZEMAN — Two Billings teams, Eastern AA's Nos. 1- and 2-ranked squads, Senior and West, will meet Saturday in the winners' bracket semfinal at the state Class AA high school girls' volleyball tournament in Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the Montana State University campus.
Senior, the three-time defending champion and undefeated through more than two seasons, breezed through two 3-0 sweeps on Thursday against Kalispell Flathead in the first round, and Missoula Sentinel in the quarterfinals.
West defeated Kalispell Glacier in four games and then aced Helena High in three in the quarterfinals.
Early play on Friday in the loser-outs will match the Kalispell and Great Falls teams — Flathead against Great Falls High at 10 a.m., and then Glacier against C.M. Russell at noon.

The victorious Broncs blasted 48 kills in the three-game quarterfinal-round walloping, 25-13, 25-19,
25-14.
Kylie Kufeld, Kylie Edinger and Mo Ritter
combined for 35 of the kills.
Six-foot-four Jen Keddy nailed a match-high 15 kills for Sentinel.
