Kayaking is sort of a universal activity — it can be enjoyed in the city, suburbs or countryside. All that is required is a kayak, paddle and a decent body of water. Of course, accessing that body of water can be an adventure.
Most kayakers do not have backyard access to a river or lake. That means tying the kayak onto the roof of the car or annoying fellow passengers on public transportation. But there are kayaks that can be folded and carried easily.
The Citibot Kayak from Folbot is a foldable kayak. Unfolded, it is 13 feet long and can hold up to 210 pounds. It has a roomy cockpit size of 30 by 16 inches and can accommodate both large and small paddlers.
The Citibot weighs 24 pounds and takes about 10 minutes to assemble. Once folded and put into its storage bag, the Citibot is just three feet long.
The Citibot has a cushioned seat and two piece frame, designed for comfort. The kayak is available in nine deck colors, ranging from smoke grey to bubble gum pink. A color swatch can be requested before purchasing.
Price is $1,094 and includes a three-part 230 cm paddle. Available at Folbot.com.
