n The Dump Driving Range will close for the season on Sept. 2, Butte-Silver Bow Recreation director Bob Rowling said.

The range is located at Copper Mountain Park.

n The Knights of Columbus Athletic Clubs four-man basketball league will start Sept. 8 at Felix Madrazo Gym at the KC Hall. Three different levels of play will be offered. All game will be played to 80 by two and three points. The Fall season will last 10 weeks with a tournament to follow. Teams can sign up daily after 3 p.m. at the KC Hall. Full entry fees must be paid before any games will be schedules. Entry fee is $150 per team.

n The Butte-Silver Bow Recreation Department women's volleyball leagues are now forming and those interested in playing may pick up roster forms at the recreation office located in the Butte Civic Center.

The first 24 teams to enter and pay entry fees will be placed in the league, director Bob Rowling said. The fee is $70 per team. Matches will begin in September and continue into December, Rowling said. A single-elimination tournament will follow the league season.

Matches will be played on Mondays. Schedules will be posted in The Montana Standard on Sundays. Phone the recreation office at 497-6408 for details.

n Bresnan Comunications, along with Butte radio stations KBOW and KOPR, will again team up to air high school and college football games on cable television. Bresnan will replay weekend games on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. on cable channel 6. Showings will also be on Thursdays and Sundays at 7 p.m. The games are videotaped and use the broadcast from either of the two radio sportscasts for the audio. The broadcast schedule: Sept. 3 — Butte Central at Anaconda. Sept. 10 — Butte High at Missoula Sentinel. Sept. 17 — Billings West at Butte High. Sept. 24 — Butte Central at Billings Central. Oct. 1 — Butte High at Helena High. Oct. 8 — Belgrade at Butte Central. Oct. 15 — Billings Skyview at Butte High. Oct. 22 — Butte Central at Lewistown. Oct. 29 — Rocky Mountain at Montana Tech. Nov. 5 — Butte High at Billings Senior.
