Badovinac joins Tech marketing Amanda Badovinac has joined Montana Tech's advancement and development team as the director of public relations and marketing.
She will be in charge of campus-wide marketing, advertising and communications, media relations, publications and campus branding.
Badovinac graduated with a bachelor's degree from Montana Tech in 2000 and a master's degree in technical communications in 2002. Prior to joining the Tech team, Badovinac served as the marketing and public relations coordinator at St. James Healthcare for five years.
Badovinac replaces Dave Scott, who worked in that job for the past three years.
A Butte native, she is married to Brett Badovinac, a Tech engineering alumnus. They have two children, Drew and Brooke.
She started her Tech job Aug. 11.
Crime prevention conference set HELENA — The Montana Board of Crime Control in collaboration with the Montana Crime Prevention Council is hosting the second Montana Crime Prevention Conference, "It's Everyone's Business," Sept. 9-11 in Helena.
Attendance is open to anyone interested in public safety and crime related issues. Some continuing education credits are available.
Registration is $50. Registration increases to $80 after Sept. 1. Breakfasts and lunches will be available at the conference and included in the registration fee.

Business idea workshop set Evaluating a Business Idea Workshop will be presented Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon at Headwaters RC&D Area Inc., 305 W. Mercury.
Cost is $10.
Headwaters RC&D and the Small Business Development Center will present information on business plans, marketing, industry profiles, cash flow projections and loan information, among other topics.
