Butte Police Reports

  • An employee at Sears is accused of assaulting another employee after a dispute over commissions Friday afternoon. Jason L. Guastaferro, 32, is accused of striking a co-worker after he accused the employee of taking his commissions from sales at the store at 3703 Harrison Ave. about 5:15 p.m. Guastaferro bonded out of jail later that day.

  • Several power and hand tools were reported stolen Friday evening from a home that was being remodeled. Police said saws, drills, several hand tools and a radio was taken from at residence in the 500 block of South Idaho Street. Police have no suspects.

  • Traci L. Savage, 46, was arrested on suspicion of simple assault after police say she fought with another woman outside of the Thirftway at 901 E. Front St. Sunday evening. Police allege Savage attacked another woman after a dispute about staying at an apartment. The alleged victim suffered minor injuries in the fight. Savage bonded out of jail later that evening.

  • Matthew D. Leskovar, 25, of Butte was arrested in connection with driving under the influence and hit and run property damage Saturday evening. Leskovar is accused of crashing his 1998 Ford pickup truck into the gates on the Gold Street side of Butte High School and then driving away about 10:15 p.m. A police patrol followed Leskovar who was driving erratically and almost struck another vehicle, before he finally pulled over, according to the police reports. He bonded out of jail Sunday morning. Police alleged this is Leskovar’s second drunken driving offense.
