Butte woman could face prison time
By The Standard Staff - 07/25/2008
A Butte woman who pleaded guilty in 2004 to stabbing her boyfriend is in trouble again.
Adriane Salcido, 24, is accused of violating the terms of her probation and could face prison time if found guilty. Salcido denied violating her probation in a court appearance Thursday before District Judge Kurt Krueger.
Krueger will set a hearing at a later date, and Salcido remains free on recognizance.
Salcido was arrested after stabbing her live-in boyfriend in February 2004. The boyfriend was severely injured and required emergency surgery, according to court documents.
She was given a seven-year suspended sentence in January 2005.
