Young musicians plan recital The Young Musicians Club presents its 2007 spring recital Monday, May 21, at 7 p.m. at the East Middle School Auditorium.

Students at all levels will play pieces for parents and all others interested in seeing young players perform.

Trout Unlimited plans meeting The annual meeting of George Grant Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Butte Local Development Center, 305 W. Mercury St.

The agenda includes a brief address recapping the chapter’s activities, accomplishments and election of directors.

Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks’ fisheries biologists and personnel will talk about the status of local fisheries. Also, the future of the arctic grayling in the Big Hole will be discussed.

‘Ghost Walk’ next Sunday The annual “Ghost Walk” will be held Sunday, May 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the World Museum of Mining.

This event is sponsored by Butte Cares and the Butte High Montana History Club. Admission is $5 per person, with discounts for families.

The “Ghost Walk” is a guided tour of Hell Roarin’ Gulch with a chance to meet with and listen to the stories of the characters out of Butte’s history.

History ‘dinner date’ offered “A Dinner Date with History” — a fundraising dinner and silent auction — runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 18, at the World Museum of Mining.

It’s presented by the Butte High Montana History Club. The event includes a Meaderville spaghetti dinner with salads and desserts. Proceeds from the silent auction go to the history club to help with its community projects, like its Christmas displays.

The dinner costs $7 for adults, $5 for children and free for children 6 and under.
